50th Bonheidansfestival

The 50th Bonheidansfestival will take place from 20 until 23 August 2026 in the cultural centre GC ‘t Blikveld in Bonheiden. During this four-day festival, you can see groups from Burundi, Hawaii, Mexico, and Austria performing on our stage. Of course, our own dance groups from De Krekels in Bonheiden will be performing too!

Thursday, 20 August

20.00 u. Official opening night featuring performances by international and local groups. This is a social gathering for honorary members, host families and guests.

Friday, 21 August

20.00 u. “Theatre” performance in the auditorium of GC ‘t Blikveld, with grandstand seating.

Saturday, 22 August

14.00 u. Children’s Festival.

20.00 u. “Festival” performance in the auditorium of GC ‘t Blikveld, with tables and chairs.

Ticket sales and booking

The entrance ticket (seating) prices for the festival are:

  • Ticket: €14
  • Children younger than 12 years: €7
  • Children’s Festival: €7 (for everyone)

All performances will take place in the auditorium of GC ‘t Blikveld. Seating is limited. For this reason, tickets for the performances on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoon will only be available through GC ‘t Blikveld. The booking fee is included in the ticket price.

Tickets for the children’s festival on Saturday afternoon are only available at the door on the day itself, and no booking is required. The opening night on Thursday is for invited guests only.

Ticket sales start on 15 June and can be purchased as follows:

  • Online on the website of GC ‘t Blikveld www.blikveld.be/bonheidansfestival.
  • By telephone at the number +32 15 50 28 70 during the opening hours of GC ‘t Blikveld.
  • At the counter during the opening hours of GC ‘t Blikveld.
  • Bookings for wheelchair users can only be made by telephone or at the counter.

Practical information

The festival will take place at GC ‘t Blikveld, Jacques Morrensplein 2, 2820 Bonheiden. The festival entrance is at the rear of GC ‘t Blikveld, accessible via the car park to the right of the building.

In addition to the performances in the main auditorium of GC ’t Blikveld, there is also a large marquee with tables and seating behind the stage.

  • Entry to this area is free, here you can relax with a drink and have a chat
  • You may watch all the performances live on a big screen in the marquee
  • Weather permitting, the courtyard area outside the marquee will be set up as a café terrace

Barbecue

Once again this year, you can enjoy a delicious barbecue on Sunday afternoon, before the festival performance begins in the late afternoon. The barbecue starts at noon. Registration is required and can only be done via the order form on our website until 16 August. After 16 August, please contact us at shop@dekrekels.be.

In addition to the standard vegetable buffet, you can choose which meat or vegetarian dishes you would like to order. You can choose from the following options, up to a maximum of three pieces of meat or vegetarian options person.
